Our Community Safety and Security initiatives focus on prevention, rapid response, community participation, and collaboration with security agencies to protect lives and property.

Key Focus Areas

1. Strengthening the Local Security Framework

• Collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force, Neighborhood Safety Corps, Civil Defence, and other stakeholders
• Support for community vigilante groups through training, logistics, and supervision (where applicable)
• Community security committees across wards to improve coordination and local reporting
• Regular security review meetings to assess threats, challenges, and response strategies

2. Crime Prevention & Surveillance

• Streetlight initiatives that discourage nighttime crime
• Support for CCTV deployment in strategic and higher‑risk locations (where applicable)
• Routine patrol support and increased visibility of security personnel
• Community watch and “see something, say something” reporting culture

3. Emergency Preparedness & Response

• Rapid response coordination for fire outbreaks, accidents, and other emergencies
• Strengthening fire service operations and supporting modern response equipment (where applicable)
• First‑aid training and emergency awareness programs
• Functional hotlines and reporting channels for swift support

4. Youth Engagement & Anti‑Social Behaviour Reduction

• Targeted skills acquisition and empowerment programs for at‑risk youth
• Sports and recreational activities to discourage cultism and substance abuse
• Counseling and mentorship programs in schools and communities
• Partnerships with NGOs and faith‑based organizations for youth reorientation

5. Traffic & Road Safety

• Partnership with LASTMA and FRSC to improve traffic management and safety
• Road safety enforcement support—especially around schools and markets
• Public enlightenment on safe driving and pedestrian safety
• Support for designated parking arrangements to reduce congestion (where applicable)

6. Community Awareness & Education

• Sensitization campaigns on personal safety and security consciousness
• Workshops on conflict resolution, domestic violence prevention, and emergency readiness
• Engagements with traditional rulers, CDAs, and community leaders to promote vigilance
• Distribution of public safety guidelines and educational materials

7. Protection of Vulnerable Groups
